DECRYPT BALLOTS is a slow, necessary dismantling of the pretty lies we've been fed. This exhibition wrestles with the quiet violence of mass media, how it's obstructed by leaders who continue to manipulate and decide the Philippines' neo-feudalistic fate. Amidst cheap electoral promises and brownie points, truth and perception are hijacked and traded off for slogans that are sold as salvation but ultimately taste more like sugar and rust.
Here, we reframe the artists as creators and codebreakers, the hackers of personal and collective political histories. Each work is its own small insurgency: painting, sculpture, installation, even augmented fragments that bloom through screens, flickering like protest signs in digital squares. How should we really read the truth when it’s buried under the "spin?"
